I went to the Miller GM dealer for my other identical 1 ton pickup. They said they only charge for freon when the system is low. They ended up doing the exact same service for less money.
We've been going to Ron and the guys for years now and have never had anything to complain about. They don't just take care of the cars they take care of the people that bring them in. He always finds us the best deal he can on repairs and even better, let's us know what's coming up we want tp plan for. Like the brakes are looking like they're gonna need done before winter or you've got a couple tires that are getting there. So that we can plan ahead and avoid costly problems or even accidents. You cannot go wrong bringing your car or truck here.
Ron seems nice though. Maybe he just needs to change how he bills it out....
Brought our 1 ton truck in to have the AC serviced. It was overcharged by a pound so after recovering the freon and placing under vacuum to remove any air or moisture, he recharged it with the proper amount. Then charged us for the 1.3lbs of refrigerant even though he ended up with 1 lb MORE since the system was overcharged to begin with (on top of the normal service charge) His explanation was that it was to cover the cost of the $400 filters (upon googling the cost i found the robinaire filters are $50)
